About the Awards

MS Signature International Awards recognize eminent individuals for their extraordinary contributions to rural development, community service, health innovation, and the upliftment of humanity. For the past five years, these prestigious awards have honored excellence across diverse fields.

Named After a Hero

The award honors Dr. Maithili Sharan, a visionary surgeon and humanitarian who dedicated his life to societal upliftment. Educated at MC Gill University (Canada) and FRCS London, he was the first Indian surgeon to publish cancer research. He served in the Army Medical Corps during the 1965 War and devoted 40 years to public health and rural development. A true Gandhian, he believed India's progress begins in its villages.

Who Receives the Award

The award is bestowed to a selected group of people who have been exceptional and have done various innovations in their fields to make explicit change in urban, semi-urban, and rural settings. These visionaries have created models which can be replicated at a global level, demonstrating that sustainable impact is achievable across diverse communities.

Selection Process

The award ceremony will be conducted by the organization.

Executive Council

We have a group of ten people who constitute our executive council. The executive council members are stalwarts from different fields with more than 15 years experience in their fields. The members follow the checklist which is developed as "CRITERIA FOR SELECTION" in consensus. The participation forms are evaluated by them & short listed as per the criteria. The participants can nominate themselves or their colleagues can nominate them. The executive members can nominate but the process for nominees selection remains same. The curriculum vitae of short listed nominee's go for second evaluation to our JURY MEMBERS for re-evaluation and final decision.

Jury Panel

Jury panel is a group of six highly experienced members of National as well as International level. Members change as per the field of the participants applications. They follow specific criteria based on their vast experience before finalizing the awardees for their innovations and achievements. The names of the members are not revealed in order to prevent bias. Even the names of nominees are coded to maintain full confidentiality and remove the bias at all levels.

NRIs Involvement

NRIs from the UK, USA, South Africa, Australia, Canada, Nepal, and Bangladesh actively participate to ensure global representation.
